Information:

NOTE: If you have never submitted the New Volunteer Registration (even if you've volunteered with us before), please complete that first!

At this work party, you will be helping water hundreds of tree seedlings planted by WMTP volunteers the past few years in Bellingham Parks: Cordata, Squalicum Creek, and Julianna Park

We'll start at Cordata Park main entrance at 8:00 AM sharp. A city parks employee will be driving a water truck, and filling 5 gallon of buckets to ~half-full. Your assistance is needed to carry the water out to all the trees, to help keep them growing through the hot, dry season!  Once the watering is complete at the first park, everyone will proceed to Squalicum Creek Park, then Julianna Park. There will be about a 30-40 minute break between each location while the truck is refilled.

Last year, our volunteer teams were able to complete all 3 parks before 1:00PM. However, the duration at each location can vary depending on how many volunteers there are. We'll send change updates via text during the event, so if you need to join later or take an extended break, you'll know where to go next to join or rejoin the group.

*Note that each participant will need to sign a liability waiver form before starting work*

If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email at volunteering@whatcommilliontrees.org
