Information:

In his speech on the California budget, the Governor outlined the constraints on state revenue. We’re sympathetic. In the last year, the federal government moved the tax filing deadline not once but twice, causing the Governor to craft last year’s budget via blindfold.

Well, a bad beginning makes for a bad ending. This year’s projected state budget deficit stands at $37.85 billion.

Even the most important programs – public safety, health care, infrastructure – to balance the budget will need to take a haircut.

Climate and environment are no exception.

But when it comes to protecting Californians from the #1 most deadly climate impact, we need you to argue for a trim-off-the-top – not a crew cut.

We are asking you to help restore funding to the Extreme Heat and Community Resilience program.

Can you help us get the message to Governor Newsom?
